This 1978 version of Heaven Can Wait is confusingly named. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the similiarly themed 1943 film Heaven Can Wait; instead, it's a remake of 1941's Here Comes Mr. Jordan, about a man who is taken into heaven before his time and is therefore permitted to return to earth to solve his own murder. Some entertaining performances and good sight gags, but it's missing the subtlety and refinement of the original.
