John Carpenter's half-sequel, half-remake of the 1981 film Escape From New York is as half-baked as action flicks come. With logic flaws up the ying-yang and special effects comparable to something Ed Wood might produce, Escape From L.A. turns this thoroughly unintelligible story into thoroughly mind-numbing dreck. Not even entertaining as a mindless adrenaline rush, primarily because it isn't.
