This made-for-TV sequel to the legendary classic, It's a Wonderful Life, isn't particularly awful so much as it can't justify its existence. It's never a good idea to remake or make sequels to old classics -- Clarence is a good reason why. Taken by itself, this film is an innocent time-waster; it's nothing special, mildly amusing, harmless, and forgettable. Underneath the grand shadow of the original, it's an arrogant piece of pop drivel presumptuous enough to dare associate itself with the timeless classic. It's not great to start with, and it doesn't help having memories of It's a Wonderful Life remind us how much better motion pictures can be.
