Buying Items
To buy an item from the equipment shop, first enter the shop from town, and
then hit the 'Buy' button next to the character you wish to have make the
purchase. (If you're short on gold, you might want to hit the 'Pool Gold'
button first, to give that character all gold carried by all members of the
party.) You will then be given the store's complete inventory; all items
and quantities will be listed, and a 'Buy' button will be placed next to the
items you have enough gold to afford. To purchase an item, hit its
corresponding 'Buy' button.
Items printed in gray, instead of black, are items that character may not wield
or wear, due to class restrictions. The character may still buy them, carry
them, and give them to other characters in the party -- gray items may simply
not be equipped by that particular character. When picking out equipment for
your characters, keep these class restrictions in mind. You don't want to
buy plate armor for your sorcerers, only to discover too late that sorcerers
can only wear robes for armor.
