RookChat

RookChat is an open-source HTTP/CGI-based chat room that webmasters may download and install on their web sites. It features dynamic multi-room capabilities, public/private/moderated rooms, multi-lingual support by user, many administrative levels, memos, memo lists (similar to mailing lists), graphical smileys, bot games, and over 75 commands for chatting and administration. RookChat requires a UNIX or Windows NT/2000/XP with Python 2.1 or greater.

The following is a chart of the smileys available in RookChat. If you type the colon codes in the Traditional and Horsey columns, the corresponding graphic smiley will appear in the text in place of the code.

The ASCII column gives the ASCII equivalent for the smileys on each row. If you go to the Options page and select Traditional Smileys or Horsey Smileys, then you may use the ASCII code instead of the colon code to make the graphic equivalent appear. If your smileys option is set to ASCII Smileys, then the ASCII smileys will appear unchanged.
