For those who don't know, I play flute and am fairly good at it. I made in into the All-South Jersey Junior High band last year and Olympic Conference band the past two years--not in very high rankings, but I at least made it.
Tomorrow morning, I'm auditioning for the All-South Jersey Senior High band. Not only are the requirements (a solo, scales, and sight-reading, as in the Junior High) tougher, but I will be facing a much higher caliber of competition. I'll be going up against people with four or more years more experience than I have. Needless to say, I probably won't make it in, but I'm giving it my best shot...
I'll post the results when I get them, and maybe a post about the audition tomorrow after it's done.
