Actually, it's from the Neo-Classical School of cheering. First coming to prominence in the early 1900's, the "Four-Round Repeat with Precadence" (since termed the "Traditional Ellmyruh Cheer") was a reactionary movement to the standard cheer of the day commonly known as the "Three Huzzahs". (In this context, the cheer would be preformed as such: "Three Huzzahs for Sam! Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!")

There are a great many Ellmyruh cheers, from the Art Nouveau Ellmyruhn (which is really flowerly), to the Ellmyruh Simplistic ("Yay, Sam!"), to the Minimalistic ("sam").
