Well, since this thread is already wandering off the subject, I guess I'll go ahead and give the correct answer(s).
All of these towns are in North Carolina. I presented the list to a group of Tennessee teachers through the teacher's association newsletter and most of them jumped to the conclusion that I was talking about Tennessee. That's understandable, since Tennessee also has 13 towns with those names.
I wonder if any other state has 13 towns with those names.
