  Well, my real name is Cody-- a common nickname for which is "Code-man".
  As for the 38?  Throughout my childhood, I was a spelling bee geek... and when I finally made it to the [US] national level a while ago, the number on my placard was--you guessed it--38.  It just kinda stuck, for some reason.
