1. Kronos (from sometime in the late '50s) is a pretty obscure science fiction movie. However, it's one of the best ones I've ever seen, and even though the giant badguy robot thing is silly looking, the rest of the movie actually makes sense (which is rare). And the special effects are pretty good too. And surprizingly, the female lead isn't a bubbleheaded idiot (although the male lead does act pretty obnoxiously toward her later on).

2. Son of Kong (1933) the sequel to the original King Kong film, hardly anybody talks about it anymore (except for me and my mom, who are probably the only people who have watched it). The animation is just as good as King Kong, and the script...get this...is FUNNY.

3. Any silent Buster Keaton movie at all. Chaplin, smhaplin. Keaton's the greatest. And I'm also going to say Keaton's talkie film "Speak Easily". It's his funniest talkie.

4. Also, (almost) any movie from the '40s starring Dennis Morgan & Jack Carson: Neither of them are remembered now (unless you're an old movie buff like me), but their movies are pretty good (except for "Two Guys From Milwaukee", which stinks). I'd suggest "Two Guys from Texas" and "The Time, The Place, and The Girl".

Urg. That's all I can think of for now.

Qua "Although 'Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?' also springs to mind" rtz
