RinkChat, NH - Sakura Tsukihoshi keeps a low profile on RinkChat and is characteristically humble about her contributions, and so it is not always immediately apparent that she is one of RinkChat's most prolific and enthusiastic participants. Since her debut in "People Bots," Tsukihoshi has appeared in over 20 archives, including such classics as "Rumble!" and "Quest For Leen." She works primarily as a member of an ensemble cast, in such archives as "Crazy Insane Play Supreme" and "RinkLympics," but has had starring roles too, particularly for the critically acclaimed "Bloody Murder At Sakura's House," in which she plays against type as a vengeful psychopath.
Tsukihoshi cited that role as her favorite so far, in part because it was a major part. Her co-stars may have had something to do with it, too. "I think we all worked quite well together," she said, when asked how she liked working with Grishny, Ayako, and Mia. "They were all a pleasure to work with."
Tsukihoshi later cited Grishny as her favorite leading man to co-star with. She said she wasn't entirely sure why. "It just seems like we kind of...click." Grishny bears the distinction of being the only orc to participate in the RinkChat archives to date.
Still, differences in professional style became an issue. "I generally have a framework in mind when I start out and try to steer it toward that, probably to my co-stars' annoyance," Tsukihoshi said, describing the approach she takes to her craft. Her co-stars, she said, "struck me as more the play-by-ear type."
Tsukihoshi confirmed that her role in "Bloody Murder At Sakura's House" does not particularly resemble how she is in real life. When asked what role is most similar to her personality, she said, "Probably any in which I had a non-speaking role, really. I tend to be much quieter in real life than on the set."
Tsukihoshi says she is looking forward to the upcoming RinkAwards ceremony. "I love RinkChat, I really do, and events like this are one of the reasons why."
Who might she like to see win in the Best Female categories? "Ticia's and Mia's performances in 'Sororital Spat' were great, as was Brunnen-G's in 'The Sting, Part II.'" When asked for her choice for Best Archive, she said, "'The Sting, Part II' or 'Group Therapy.' Both were classic archives, and the performances given were excellent."
