RinkChat, NH - Voters are in a flurry as the last day of voting in the RinkAwards nominations round draws to a close. Last minute voters have just a few short hours left to cast their ballots, and anticipation is building for the live nominations announcement, which will take place in Mountain Stream tomorrow at 9 p.m. EST.
The short voting period lasted a mere five weeks, and that meant some enthusiastic voters had to rush to get their ballots completed in time. A number of RinkChat regulars were asked if they were among the many racing to the polls for last minute voting..
"No, I got my last votes in about a week ago," RinkChat regular Grishny, an orc, said.
"No, I'm one of the few people satisfied with my previous votes," Morris Cecil Glalet said.
"No, I'm no last-minute voter," Oeras said.
"I finished my votes like the second or third day of voting," TalkingDog said.
"Nope," BurgerKing said. "All done."
"No. I voted for everything I could think of already," Sundragyn said. "No last minute votes for me!!!"
"Eh, not really," Quartz said. "I don't really know what I'm supposed to be voting for."
"I am more of a procrastinating voter who is merely thinking about casting a last minute ballot," Ellmyruh said.
"Nope, I did that a while ago," Kaz said. "Wait a sec...um...I'd better make sure that I did."
Amidst the rush to vote was a widespread excitement for attending the live nominations announcement tomorrow. "Wild horses couldn't drag me from it," Grishny, the orc, said. When other RinkChat regulars were asked if they would be present for the announcement, the shared enthusiasm was clearly evident.
"I might," Glalet said. "It depends on how much homework I have, whether or not we're eating out, and if we all get crushed by a comet landing on our house or not."
"I'll try to," Dog said. "I should send myself a Yahoo reminder."
"Nope, got a basketball game," extirpator said.
"Hm, yeah, probably be here," Brunnen-G said. "I'll have to iron my formal attire."
"No, I don't think so," Dragyn said. "Got stuff going on tomorrow night."
"I don't know," Quartz said. "Maybe."
