RinkChat, NH - The RinkAwards ceremony will take place on March 31, 9 p.m. EST, an official announcement said Wednesday. The announcement also named the host of the ceremony: Samuel Stoddard, the founder and proprietor of the RinkAwards.
"It's an honor to have been selected to host the ceremony," Stoddard said. "I will do my best to repay the trust of those who chose me by making it the best show I can."
Because the audience for the RinkAwards spans the globe, participants are cautioned to make accurate conversions to local time. The show starts at 9 p.m. for those on the east coast of the United States and 6 p.m. for those on the west coast.
International attendees may have a more difficult time of it. For those in, say, New Zealand, the show will start at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 1. Citizens of Britain will have to burn the midnight oil to attend, as it starts at 3 a.m. on April 1 for them. However, RinkWorks regular Tubba, of England, does not foresee a problem; he describes himself as "nocturnal."
A turnout of as many as 50 people is expected. The official portion of the ceremony will be conducted in RinkChat's Mountain Stream room, and other rooms will be reserved for audience commentary.
