Jack Nicholson and Michelle Pfeiffer team up for this insightful werewolf story which is appropriately more intriguing than horrifying. Director Mike Nichols explores the phenomenon of Nicholson's transformation in delightful detail. Ironically, the climax is inferior, but more memorable, than the rest of the film. Nicholson and Pfeiffer are terrific together.
