Nicole Kidman turns in a top notch performance as a twisted, conniving, arrogant woman obsessed with television. The other members of the cast are also good. The plot is highly reminiscent of the real life Pamela Smart case from 1991, and it is told in a series of disjointed flashbacks and interviews with many of the characters, cleverly edited in to one narrative tapestry. Alas, it's one of those films that is well done, but not necessarily worthwhile. Unless you can appreciate good filmmaking without also requiring some level of entertainment beyond that better than I can, skip this one.
