David Mamet wrote this quirky, offbeat comedy about an elderly shoe shiner (screen veteran Don Ameche, in a remarkable performance) hired to take a fall for the mob. He's got three days of freedom left, so Joe Mantegna shows him around Las Vegas. The humor is subtle and funny, but there are a couple of spots where the film drags.
