Captivating story of the historical first flight across the Atlantic Ocean by Charles Lindbergh (skillfully portrayed by Jimmy Stewart). The first part of the film details preparations for the journey -- building the airplane, what he should take with him, etc -- and most importantly defining his character. The second part involves the flight itself, where he encounters obstacle upon obstacle threatening his victory. It's a beautiful film, a fine character study, and gripping entertainment.
