One of the strengths of The North Avenue Irregulars is also one of its weaknesses. This movie is unleashed madcap in the Disney tradition. That's fun, but it's also tiring. The unlikely sitcom-style plot doesn't make a whole lot of sense, and it seems hashed together to connect the loony chase scenes. But there's some funny stuff here, particularly for kids, and the cast doesn't take it very seriously -- a definite plus.
