The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934)

Reviews and Comments

Overrated but good early Alfred Hitchcock effort about a vacationing couple who happen upon a conspiracy and assassination plan. Their son is kidnapped to keep them quiet. Some consider this vintage Hitchcock, but it pales in comparison with his greats of the time, like The 39 Steps and The Lady Vanishes. Hitchcock's own 1956 remake was better. Still, among other things, Peter Lorre makes an unforgettable villain.
