Paul Newman stars in this labyrinthine spy thriller, probably inspired by the James Bond movies, although The Mackintosh Man is less fantastic. The problem with it is that it doesn't present anything that hasn't been done better elsewhere. The mysterious twists and intrigue are entertaining, however, and provide a good diversion.
