What is widely said to be the last great silent comedy is also often said to be the best great silent comedy. This is Buster Keaton's masterpiece, who exhibits overflowing gobs of talent and craftsmanship at every frame. If you're a silent film fan, this is a must; if you're not, this will make you one. The General is a masterpiece of film which never has nor ever will be duplicated, period.
