Sid Caesar stars as an unlikely board member of a crime ring. He's shy, soft-spoken, and seems to be always telephoned by his mother, who somehow always knows the number of a phone he's near. The boss is no-nonsense Robert Ryan, who upholds Caesar as a model board member...until he loses a million dollars. The desperate quest to recover it is highly amusing, as is the large cast of talented comic actors.
