One of the worst movies of all time, The Beast of Yucca Flats feels excruciatingly long even at 54 minutes. The film's budget is so low, apparently a synchronized audio track was too expensive. No one is ever seen speaking on camera: whenever anyone talks, it's either off-screen or at a distance. The "plot" of the movie is something about a guy that turns into a mindless killer as a result of being too near a nuclear explosion. Meanwhile, some kids wander off in the desert, and so a search party is sent out with orders to "shoot first and ask questions later." I can't even put into words how idiotic and pointless this piece of trash is. It's baffling that this bizarre movie ever got made, but even more baffling is why.
