Maria Montez, then called the Queen of Technicolor, made a lot of films in the forties with Jon Hall; most of them were featherweight Middle East adventures with cheesy dialogue. Sudan is one of these, providing decent, fun, escapist entertainment -- just don't expect anything profound.
