Stupid plot-by-numbers effort has deadly snakes overrunning a housing district. The story is based on other stories based on cliches; in other words, it's so far removed from reality that nothing seems the least bit real. Characters act according to the mandates of long-standing plot formulas, not by what is smart, sensible, or consistent.
