She Wouldn't Say Yes is a gem of a romantic comedy. It takes itself just seriously enough to be sweet but otherwise spends its time with hilarious misunderstandings where everybody thinks everybody else is crazy and people get married by accident. Although some of the third act goes wrong by taking obligatory plot turns that don't quite fit, the bulk of the movie is a great complex of comic escalation. Besides inciting laughter, it feels like it's giving you a big hug.
