Passport To Pimlico (1949)

Reviews and Comments

Subtle understated comedy is and has always been a particular strength of the British. This early comedy showcases it perfectly. Pimlico is a small section of London that declares its independence from the rest of Britain. The ensuing uproar is a lot of fun. Margaret Rutherford and Stanley Holloway are perfectly cast. Note the unusual dedication.
