Billy Crystal stars in this comedy about an agent who finds Gheorghe Muresan, a giant living in Romania, and tries to get him in the movies. He's also, predictably, trying to save his failing relationship with his family. The movie has an amiable demeanor; not much is required for it to earn at least the benefit of the doubt from its viewers, which is probably a good thing. Although the central story is interesting and adequately humorous, the myriad subplots, nearly all of which involve way too much unearned sentimentality, muck up the works.
