Jackie Chan does it again in Mr. Nice Guy (also titled SuperChef), a plotless, shallow action crime comedy that's loads of fun thanks to Chan's charisma and fancy footwork. It's astounding how far Chan can go on a thin plot. Even the greatest performers can sink in bad material, but Jackie Chan movies aren't about such trifling details such as plot and character. They're about ingenuity, self-effacing humor, and clever, lightning-fast fight choreography. The formula is delightful, and Mr. Nice Guy is a fine reworking of it, packed with action and laughs.
