A mad killer has escaped from prison and vows revenge against the judge who sentenced him. Laurel and Hardy, as detectives, are sent to be bodyguards. This simple premise serves as a tidy device to get the boys through all manner of comic scenarios. Some parts are better than others, but all of it is funny and much of it is riotous.
