Jane Fonda won an Oscar for playing a prostitute who's being stalked by a former client. Donald Sutherland plays the detective on the case. It's well-acted, but this movie is so lethargic, it barely registers a pulse. Certainly it will be disappointing to anyone expecting a thriller instead of a character study. That's not necessarily bad by me, but the problem is that these characters just aren't interesting or complex enough to sustain the running time.
