I'm not sure what the title has to do with the movie; nevertheless, I Wake Up Screaming is a thoroughly engrossing film noir mystery about a murdered model. Betty Grable, the girl's sister, and Victor Mature, her publicity agent, are among the suspects. Plot twists and a spooky performance by Laird Cregar as a cop who suspects Mature help make this the engaging film of intrigue that it is.
