"What a dramatic airport!"
High Anxiety is Mel Brooks' tribute to and spoof of the films of the Master of Suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. As is typical of the work of an unrestrained Mel Brooks, it's an uneven mixture of humor, crudeness, and failed gags. A small number of hilarious scenes -- the best a parody of Psycho -- make this worthwhile viewing for Hitchcock fans, but anyone expecting a good comedy is in for a disappointment.
