I like movies like this. Frequency is a thriller that twists reality just a little bit, asks us to accept this bit of fantasy, and then lets real characters run away with the premise. Criticisms about the likelihood or plausibility of the seed element of fantasy are not applicable; the movie is not about that element of fantasy but about how the characters cope with it and the story that employs it.
And what a story! Frequency had my rapt attention from start to finish. The filmmakers are relentlessly creative in the exploitation of its premise. If you've seen the trailer and fear that it gives too much of the story away, rest assured that, while many films don't even have as much to them as what was seen in Frequency's trailer, this film has much more to offer.
