Reviews and Comments

Fargo marks the Coen Brothers' (director Joel and producer Ethan) return to film noir, what broke them in to the business with Blood Simple twelve years earlier. Like Blood Simple, Fargo is chock full of unpredictable plot twists; subtle, skillful camera work; and top notch acting. In addition, it has a healthy dose of black humor. Frances McDormand won an Oscar for her performance as a pregnant police officer who is easily one of the most memorable female film characters in recent memory. Fargo is a bizarre film experience you won't forget.
