"Squirrels to the nuts."
This uproarious social comedy from director Ernst Lubitsch came late in his career, past his prime, yet still manages to capture that certain something so cherished that it earned its own name -- the "Lubitsch touch." Slightly uneven compared to his best work but above and beyond what most directors could ever hope to achieve. The characters -- particularly Charles Boyer's -- are a delight to watch, the script radiant, and the humor witty and intelligent.
