Clash of the Titans (1981)

Reviews and Comments

This solid adaptation of the Greek myth of Perseus and Andromeda suffers from an overlong running time. Nevertheless, it's a good story, well made, deftly capturing the spirit of ancient mythology. The special effects were great for the time, but hardly impressive today -- except, of course, for Ray Harryhausen's eerie creatures, which technology has yet to improve upon. Horse lovers should like the splendor of the Pegasus scenes, while the Medusa sequence is chilling.
