Billy Bob Thornton is a scream in Bandits, an otherwise arduous caper about two bank robbers and a love triangle. Bruce Willis is simply serviceable as the other bandit. Cate Blanchett is a better as the woman caught in the middle. There are some nice moments but too many bad ones, and they don't fit together very well.
