Different is good. Eccentric can be good. Weird is sometimes good. Arizona Dream isn't good. It's just weird. It attempts to be meaningful weirdness, of course, but lacking anything substantial to say, it only manages a thin facade.

In spite of its remarkable cast, this offbeat comedy manages only a few solid laughs, several short of satisfying. As a whole, the film is undermined by its own eccentricity, coming off not original or creative but foreign. I could relate to very little in this film. Hence, I was largely unmoved.
