There was no award for Documentary Feature given in 1946.

Young Americans was originally announced as the winner of the 1968 Oscar for Best Documentary Feature. However, it was later declared ineligible and the first runner-up, Journey Into Self, was awarded the Oscar.

From 1947-1955 the Best Foreign Language Oscar was an honorary award.

There was no award for Best Foreign Language Film given in 1953.
