* For purposes of this list, 'Theatrical Feature Films' are defined as 'theatrically released feature length narrative films' (i.e. non-documentary & non short) which are also 'stand-alone films' (i.e. not part of a film series). In addition to providing a 'check list' of "THEATRICAL FEATURE FILMS", the first two columns also serves as a chronological key of every one of Roger Ebert's Great Movies, including notes directing attention to the check list in the third and last column of this page for film series, documentaries, shorts, etc. The 'Theatrical Feature Films' columns begins at #1 with Ebert's first 'Great Movie' review published on September 15, 1996, and ends at #363 with Ebert's last 'Great Movie' review published on March 7, 2013 (4 weeks before his death on April 4, 2013).
Roger published his 'Great Movie' reviews as frequently as every other Friday, or less frequently depending on his schedule and health.
Roger averaged 21.9 Great Movie reviews per year (an average of one every 16.7 days) during the 16.65 years between September 15, 1996 (when his 1st review was published) and his death on April 4, 2013.
Roger's most prolific year was 2002 with 29 Great Movie reviews (an average of one every 12.6 days)
Excluding the partial years of 1996 (when his 1st review was published in September) and 2013 (when Roger passed away in April), his least prolific year was 2006 with only 14 Great Movie reviews (an average of one every 26.1 days).
