"Fat Ethel 2" is about this woman who's gotta be like a hundred pounds overweight and mentally just a little bit off. She lives in a sort of group home place for people with mental problems, and among her roommates are this guy who appears to have some kind of autistic disorder and likes to closely examine and touch everything (he inches along the walls and table with his face an inch away) and this nurse, who is supposed to be looking after them.

The movie gets weird from the start when Fat Ethel dumps bugs into the soup of the autistic guy and he eats them anyhow. It gets weirder when the nurse is eating a chocolate bar and Ethel is looking at the nurse jealously -- NEVER eat food in front of Fat Ethel. All food is hers, or so it is in her mind.

So, anyway, this big axe inexplicably appears in her hand, and she starts stabbing at the nurse, who starts bleeding from an unseen wound. The movie was on such a low budget that theater blood was apparently not affordable. Either that or the director thought orange paint just looks really cool on screen.

Anyway, this movie kept my friends and me up all night laughing and throwing popcorn at the screen. I won -- I was the first to ping a kernel off Ethel's fat forehead.
