For this movie, John Carpenter directed a cast of four space hippies, a telepathic block of ice, a sentient bomb, and a beachball with webbed feet that we're supposed to believe is an alien. The special effects, obviously limited by the film's incredibly small budget, were the most interesting aspect of the film. It just goes to show how creative people can be when they have a can of spray paint and muffin tins. (And by this I mean not very.) The worst part of the movie is when someone gives the frozen captain of the ship chauggle pants. All in all, it is quite laughable.
